Paharpur-The Largest Education Institute Of 8th century

Paharpur is one of the most important historical place of bangladesh.It is in Bodolgaci thana of Naogon district.It is formally known as Sompur Bihar.Actually it is a Temple.Ram Dharmo Pal buielt the Temple on 8th century according with 177 classroom.At that time it was used as a Duddan University.The institute was famous all over Asia.Students came here from different parts of world
The entire building was surrended by a 900 square feet long and 3 feet wide concreat wall.The height of the Temple was about 72 feet.Surprisingly it was one of the tallest building at that time.
Now the Archeolgy department controlling it.They dug the place and found many status.In 1989 the
Cheaf of UN visit  the place.The UNDP has taken a project over it.Under the project The Archeolgy
department makes a musiam.garden and some guestroom.
